Penryn College’s pupils made their mark at the annual Ehlanzeni District Visual Arts and Design Competition. According to the school, they entered the competition for the very first time this year.

The theme of the competition was “Boxed Beautiful” and there were over 250 entries.
“We are extremely proud of two learners in particular; namely Jemma McKenzie, who walked away with the first prize in the Visual Arts section, as well as Nikita Janse van Rensburg, who came second in the same category,” the school said.

These two ladies were, however, not the only Penryn pupils to achieve with nine students receiving gold certificates, 12 students walking away with silver certificates and three students receiving certificates for participation.
